Hey everyone! This week was an interesting one. On Wednessday we had a worldwide missionary broadcast from Salt Lake. I was able to learn so much! And We also recieved news of some changes. The schedule is now more flexible. Now basically there is check list of things we have to do, but we get choose when we do it. Here in Honduras we will continue to wake up at 6:30, exercise, Personal study for one houre from 8-9, and then we will plan for the day in the morning at 9. We will leave and work from 10-12. And from 12-9 we will work and organise 1 hour of study (Companionship and language) as well as 1.5 hours to eat lunch and dinner.

I love the new schedule! I think it is really important! The Church I feel is really stressing autosificiencia! That we can do things on our own, and out of our own free will. Also there are only 4 key indicators, when before there were 9.

I love the mission! I have so much to improve! But I enjoy it! This week we also found a new family! Family Caranza! They are so great, and 2 of them were able to come to church sunday! This week I was a little discouraged with the little progress we have been seeing, but I know that God has a plan! I am trying to stop looking so much for results, and just be happy being a deciple of christ! Sometimes as missionaries we get so focused in the baptism, we forget that our purpose is all the doctrine of Christ, Faith, repentance, baptism, the reception of the Holy Ghost, and persevering to the End. Sometimes we may not basptize, but we can build the faith of those around us! I am trying to do a better job at looking at the big picture!

I love this Gospel! I know God lives. He loves us and has given us this plan! He has given us the gospel! And through his son Jesus Christ we can follow these 5 steps to return with him again!

I love you all!

Faith, Hope, and Charity!

Hey everyone! Life continues here in Honduras! The summer is now coming, yesterday was a really hot day, with lots of humidity, It´s gonna be lots of fun! I am doing great! It´s was a tough day yesterday, but all is well.

Well, we have been working verry hard, and had a date for baptism with a lot of our investidadors. But this last week my companion and I decided to focus on Familia Molina. They are a great family, but have been struggling fulfilling there commitments like reading praying, and going to church, so we dedicated the week to explaining the improtance of the 3 things. First and for most, as we read the scriptures we learn, and as we learn we apply (In other words, excercise our faith) And as we act we have the desire to change, and we must pray to repent, and then when we repent we must be baptized to be cleansed from our sins that we have repented of, or renew our baptismal covanents through the sacrement at church. Really these three steps, reading the scriptures, praying, and going to church, make up the last doctrine of christ, Enduring to the End. We explained all of this to family molina, we felt the spirit, and friday night, they all expressed the desire to be baptized, and they were all starting to act. Yet, then came Sunday and they didn´t go to church, we talked to them after, and they told us that they didn´t want to continue... It was so hard for me. I love this family so much, we have been teaching them for three months, we have seen there faith grow, yet they don´t want it. At least not right now.

I think this is one of the hardest parts about the Gospel is that our father in Heavan as blessed each of us with the gift of agency. We are all free to act for ourselves, and choose weather we want to follow the path God as given us or not. (2 Nephi 2:27) Yet, with all that said I have hope! I know that this family is a great family! I love them, and I know God loves them, and that will never end. And, the greatest part, is the gospel is always thier, Christ is always there waiting at the door. Wether it is 1 month, 2 years, 20 years down the road, Christ will still be waiting, God the father and Jesus Christ will still be loving! I can´t help but think of the story of Alma the younger. He was destroying the church of God, yet in one of his most difficult moments he remembered the words of his father teaching about a christ (Alma 36:17), and in this moment Alma the younger chose to repent and open the door. And there was Christ waiting.

Through our savior Jesus Christ we all can change, we all can be forgiven, and we all can follow the path he has given us (Faith, Repentance, Baptism through the authority of God, recieving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the End), it is our choose, wether that be today, tommorrow, or in 50 years christ will be there. But my hope and prayer for all mankind, is let that day be today! Why wait when it´s a simple as opening the door!

I love the Gospel of Christ! It´s not easy watching people refuse to accept somthing that I know will bless there lifes, but I have hope, and I trust and know that our Father in Heavan has a plan! I know that the Church of Jesus Christ is the only Church with the authority of God, and the fullness of the Gospel! I know the Book of Mormon, along with the Bible is the word of God! I know Christ is always waiting at the Door!

I love you all! Let us have Faith, let us have Hope, let us have Charity!

Firm Foundation

Hey Everyone! I hope all is well! I am doing fantastic! This last week was a little interesting. We did a lot of service!

Particularly on saturday. Elder Barrientos and I started painting at 8:00, then we went to help a family move at 11, and then went to help onother family move at 4, and didn´t finish until about 7:30. We were basically doing 12 hours of service without stopping. I was really tired, but it was great! I love serving!

This week I was a little dissapointed and sad, because we only had 2 investigadors in the church, and we were expecting a lot more. But Church was really good! We learned about the Plan de Area here in central america. The most surprizing part to me is the reinforcment of the importance of praying, reading the scriptures and asisting the church. I find it very interesting that these 3 things that we as missionaries are always teaching are the same three things that is being reinforced for the members. I have been thinking about the importance of these things alot. I kind help but think about the scripture in Heleman 5:12, which says we must build our foundation in christ, and we won´t fall. Reading the scriptures, praying, and going to church build that foundation, weather it is for investigadors, or members. The 3 principles are very, extremely, the MOST important. It is our foundation. If we don´t have a foundation, we don´t have anything. It like the parable in the bible. We can´t build a house on the sand, we have to build a house on a rock. Reading, praying, and going to church is the rock!

I love learning! I love growing! I love being a missionary! I love these people here so much! I know that these 3 principles are the key to building a great house. I love the Gospel! We must always stay focused in the little things!

I love you all!

Hey everyone! Life just keeps going! This week has been great! I am loving every moment here in Honduras! This week my companion and I worked really hard, and saw great miracles and blessings!

This week we started going to the house of Familia Molina every day to read in the Book of Mormon. We have been trying to stress the importance of this book, and decided that it was a sacrifice we were willing to make. And the prayers for them have been answered! They are really starting to progress, and they have the disire to continue and pray and read. Iris, Yadira, and Delci all accepted a date to be baptized the 21st of this month, and I know that they are starting to recongnize the spritit in thier lives. I am going to miss this family so much when I leave this area! We have also been working alot with Familia Caballero! They also accepted a date for the 28th of this month, they are shooting to get married that same week, and then be baptized! They are such a great familiy! Maylin as such a strong testimony, and can´t wait to be baptized, Cezar has a lot of doubts, but is willing to put in the work, reading praying, and asisting the church, to recieve an answer from God! We also have been working with José who is married to a less active member, but they are going to church, and are going to get married this month, and José accepted a date for the 11th of Febuary!

It has truly been such a blessing and I know that God is touching the hearts of these people! In the ward this sunday we had 14 Investigadors between the 4 missionaries here! We are all working hard, and Gods work is moving Forward!

I love the Mission! I know that this is the work of the Lord! I am learning and growing each and every day, but the greatest Joy I find is seeing those around me become and have the desire to become more like our savior Jesus Christ!

I love you all so much! I love this Gospel! I know God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ live! I know they love each and everyone of us! I know the Book of Mormon is True! I know that God answers our prayers!

Love you all!

Feliz Año Nuevo!!!

Hey everyone! Happy New year! I can´t believe it is 2017! Life is great here in Honduras! Christmas and New year were verry different as a missionary, but wonderful! Here in Honduras there were tons of fireworks, it was impossiple to sleep with all the loud noises all night long!

This week we have had some true miracles! We have been continually working with familia Caballero, and this week they told us they were ready to get married, and have all the papers they need. We helped them set goals, and they are planning on getting married the 11th of this month! The mom also asked how soon they can get baptized after they are married! Familia Caballero is awesome and I am so excited for them! Nohelia is already baptized, and we are hoping to baptized Maylin the mom, cezar the dad, and Helen the other daughter!

The sad part of this week was Familia Molina. They are a great family that we have been teaching, Iris the mom, Yadira, Delci, the daughters. They are super good, but they kind of lost interest this week. My companion and I have been praying and thinking about them all week. Then Yadira was the only one who came to church. Last Night we went to there house and we decided to follow the spirit, more then anything they haven´t been praying and reading, and Iris explained to us that it wasn´t worth it to walk so far (The chapel is about 20-30 minutes away) for just another church, She said they all speak about God, and she didn´t need to walk so far. We then explained the importance of the Book of Mormon, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints isn´t just another Church, but is the Church of God and if they read and pray they will come to know for themselves!

I testify and I know that God restoured to authority to the earth! I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only church that has the authority to baptize! The most amazing part of what we share as missionaries, and what we believe as members of the church is, it is either true or not. I am either here in Honduras preaching and teaching truth, or I am wasting my time! But, I know it is true! I know the Book of Mormon is true! I know God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith, I know that as it says in Mathew 24:14 the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Kindgom of the father is being tough and is here again on earth! I love my Father in Heavan! I am so grateful to him, and what he has given me! I am so weak, I have so much to improve on, but all is possible with our father!

I love you all! Thank you all for being an example to me! Thanks you all for what you have done, and how you have influenced my life! I love you all!!!
