We love to be served, but do we love to serve?

Hey everyone! I am sorry I am wrighting so late, today we havn´t had light, so I was unable to wright earlier. But this week was a great one, and verry different!

This week we didn´t work verry much here in Copan Ruinas. Thursday we left to do divisions with the ZL´s, and Friday we had a zone conference, then Saturday and Sunday we had District Conference. It was a week full of learning! I enjoyed it verry much, and was able to learn so much, and am excited to work and apply it.

The greatest thing I learned, out of all the wonderful things I learned was the importance of Serving and Loving. We were extremely blessed here in the district Copan with a visit from one of the seventy, Elder Duarte, and he talked about a lot of verry important things, yet, out of all he said, and each of the others who spoke, The spirit spoke to me about the importance to serve and Love.

As I listened to the talks, the movie, Joseph Smith the prophet of the restoration came to my mind, when the members are helping a lady, and the lady says that she doesn´t agree with there religion, but she appreciates there service. Joseph Smith goes on to say that that is our religion. I would like to testify of the words of the Prophet Joseph Smith. That Service is the religion of Christ. It is the purpose of Christ. He came to serve, and he invites, and pleeds that we do the same. We have been commanded to love God with all our heart might mind and strength, and our neighbor like ourselves. As we truly love people, we are willing to serve them. And as it tells us in Mosiah 2:17, When we are in the service of our fellow beings, we are only in the service of our God!

I know that if we truly love God, we will serve him, and if we really love him, we will love our brothers, and if we love them, we will serve them as well. Let us Serve, let us love. I love the way the Guide to the scriptures explains the word service. It says that service is works that we effect, and atencions we bring in favor of God and our fellow men. In other words, every good thing we do to uplift, and help others is service. When we think about it, it´s really not that hard. We just have to think outside ourselves, have ears to hear, eyes to see, and a heart to feel, so we can know and act, when others are in need. Whether it be something big, as helping someone move, or as smile as saying hi, and giving someone a smile, as we serve and love God, as well as our fellow men, I know we will feel Joy, and will feel Christ´s love in our loves!

This is the Church of Christ! He wants us to serve and love his children. He loves us, he loves us all! Let us show them he cares through christlike service! Let us be intruments in his hands!

I love you all so much! I thank each and everyone of you for your service and love in my life! Have a great week! Never forget, God loves you! And never forget to share that love with others through service!
