CASA ABIERTA

Hey everyone! This week was a crazy week! It was so great! Basically Monday-Wednessday was full of inviting and preparing for the Open House. Then on thursday we had a practice run through with the members. Thursday night President Bush, Hermana Bush, and the AP´s, Elder Dipko and Elder Vega arrived. We went over to the Hotel in the night, and ate Dinner! It was amazing! I ate a super good sandwitch, and a piece of Oreo cake. Then we went to our house with the AP´s!

On friday we had the Zone conference here in Copan Ruinas! It was a really good zone conference! I learned a lot about the impotance of working with members, and the imporance that they have calling and assignments.

After the Zone conference we ate lunch, and then each companionship was given 40 invitations and an assigned area to help invite more people to the activity. We were able to pass out 500 invitations in 1 hour with the whole zone!

Following that we showed President and Hermana Bush what we were planning wih the activity, they gave us some suggestions, and we set up all of the things that Hermana Bush had brought down.

Then Elder Lozano and I were able to go eat dinner with the AP´s and President Bush! We basically had a boys night out! We went and ate tortas (Mexican Food) and while we were waiting for a food, we started talking to some English guys. (I love the English accent) it was super interesting. We a really good discusion about some of the things we believe. There were 3 guys, patrick, rey, and another (I forgot his name) they didn´t believe in God, and we discussed many things, yet they were verry respecful.

Then on Saturday we went early to bag juices that we had for the activity, and then went to the church to set everything up completely. Then we started that activity at 2! The acivity went super well! I would have loved to see 400 peole like we had originaly hoped, but we had about 20 non members come, and lots of members and less actives. So it was a very succesful activity. If nothing else, I know that the activity helped the members grow, and learn, and gain a desire for missionary work! And the 20 people who did come were all verry good people!

Then on Sunday we had church, and Julio Cezar Hernandez was called as a counselor in the branch presidency! I am so excited for him, he will do great, and it will help him grow!

After church we went to have interviews with our mission president! I love President and Hermana Bush! They are so awesome! They are so wise! I was able to recieve great counsels, and am so excited for the work here in Copan Ruinas!

Elder Lozano and I have decided to work a lot more with the members, especially the youth!

I love this work! I love this Gospel! I know that god is at the head of this work! He loves us, he knows best! We just have to do our best and trust him!

I love you all!
