The Blessing of Sacrifice
Hey everyone! Life´s good! We just keep working here in Honduras! Here in Copan Ruinas we have really been focusing on helping the members work in Gods work, and help with his work. This week we started working with in something called ¨Plan de Accion¨ we really hope that it will help, all the members really like to be visited, so we are hoping that they will be willing to sacrifice and serve a little themselves to visit.
As for the investigadors we have, there are all doing well. They have desires to go to church and learn more, but never do it. We know the time will come. This week we were also able to find some great new families. We hope that they can progress, and accept the gospel of our lord Jesus Christ.
As always, in the mission I am continually learning. Something that I feel is verry important, is the we serve and sacrifice for the Gospel and Christ. I dont find it councidence that as we read the New Testemant, Jesus Christ is constantly teaching us and his deciples that to follow him won´t be easy. That to follow him will be a challenge, but in the end the blessing will be unbelievable. Let me give you some examples.
"He that findeth his life shall lose it, and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it" (Matthew 10:39).
"And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brotheren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands for my names sake, shall recive an hundredfold, and recieve eternal life" (Matthew 19:29).
"But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant" (Matthew 23:11)
"So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple¨ (Luke 14:33).
Do we truly understand this principle? We have to willing to give all to our father in Heavan! After all, all we have belongs to him anyway. Now, I know it´s hard. You way be thinking, but Father in Heavan, I´m tired, I´m hungry. And let me tell you, I have done it. There are times here in Honduras that I miss each of you! I miss my family, my nieces and nephews. There are times when I feel like I deserve a break. But, we must remember the example of our lord and savior Jesus Christ! He also had a moment when he didn´t want to, but in the end what did he say?
¨O Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; Nevertheless, no as I will, but as thou wilt¨ (Matthew 26:39).
We must remember Jesus Christ! He after all is the light. We must follow his example, and when it is hard, remember; no as I will, but as thou wilt. Let us serve and sacrifice for our father in Heavan and do his will. It is a fight we are all in. I now it´s not easy. But, it´s possible.
I love you all! I love this work, and Love our father in Heaven. Let us serve him. He needs us. Because we all need him, he needs us to share that message.
I love you all with all my heart! Have a great week!

Come, Follow me! (Luke 18:22)
Helo everyone!
I just wrote you all my letter, and then the computer was dumb, and
deleted all of it, so I am going to start over.
This week was a good one! We spent a lot of time with Family Carranza,
the family of Pablo (The Hermano who died). They are doing well. They
are verry strong, and they amaze me! The woman of this world are
incredible!
The investigadors we have are all doing verry well! Susel and Rosa are
progressing, and truly are developing a strong testimony. Suseli told
us that she is mormon and after she gets married she will get
baptized. Rosa as well just has to make some changes in her life, and
will be baptized. They are both super great. They had an enconter with
some evangelicos, but were firm. They told they that they shouldn't
judge without knowing, and that they weren't looking for an answer
from anyone but God.
We also had an enconter with a Testigo de Jehova, and he asked many
questions. At the end, we told him that if he truly wanted to know the
answers he himself would have to read the Book of Mormon and ask God
if it is true. As a response he told us that we would also have to ask
God if what he was saying was true.
As a response to my dear friend carlos, and to each of you, we said,
Absolutely. I know that this is the Church of Christ. I pray and will
continue to do so until they day I die to ask God if I am doing the
right and following him.
Jesus Christ countless times during his earthly ministry said, Come,
follow me. This is our same invitation as missionaries. Come, lets
follow christ. We are not hear to destroy anyones faith in christ. We
are not hear to hurt or harm anyones fealings. We are simply hear to
follow our Savior Jesus Christ.
I solemnly testify that Jesus Christ lead, directs, and guiedes the
Church of Jesus Christ through his servant whom he has called and
given authority in the last days. In the same way he has done from the
beggining of times. My invitation for each of us, including myself, is
to refelct how we are doing. Are we following Christ? I want to leave
the invitation, Come, lets follow Christ! And if you are not sure, let
me give you some ideas, first, keep the commandments, second, follow
his example, and third, pray and ask our father in Heavan what he
would have us do to follow his son.
I promise that if you do these 3 things with real intent, if you do
these 3 things with a desire and disposision to follow, change, and
obey christ, you will recieve happiness. You will find Joy, and You
will follow the correct path.
God loves us! He wants to dirrect us, he wants us to follow his son,
so we can arrive in his arms. Why is it so hard for us to understand
this? Lets follow Jesus Christ together! I love you all! I truly know
and testify that Christ lives, he loves us, and he continues inviting
us all, Come, Follow me. Let us obey. Let us follow Him!
Have a great week! I love you all!

A Perfect Plan
Helo everyone! Life just keeps going here in Honduras! The Truth is, I don´t have a lot to say right know.
These last 2 days have been 2 verry diffucult and sad days. On Sunday morning we recieved a call from Livis Carranza, who told us that her father pased away. Death is such a difficult moment, especially for those who have so much life left to live. Pablo is the man who died, and left behind his wife Flabia, there sons and doughters Gelvin, Livis, Yerlin (Who is on his mission is El Salvador), Erickson, and Paola (9 meses). I yearn for this wonderful family and there loss, and hope with all my heart that God comforts them and helps them feel his love.
I know that the Death of a loved one is nothing easy. It is quite difficult, but I also know the God does help us and support us through our difficult times. Everytime that Someone passes from this life to the next, I have the oppurtunity to reflect and think about the Plan of Salvation. The truth is, there are many things that I do not understand, and at the end of the day, I am glad that I don´t have to worry about it.
What I do not is, that the Plan of our God is perfect! That his Son Jesus Chrsit suffered for each and every one of us individually, and that Jesus Christ will judge each of us, becuase only He knows us perfectly. And at the end of the day, we will all know that The judgement of our Savior is just and merciful. This is my hope! I know and trust in God! It is his plan!
And know these times aren´t easy. They never will be. But when we pass through trials great or small. When we loose our loved ones, let us put our trust in the Lord and keep pushing forward (2 Nephi 31:20).
I love you all! I testify with all my heart that God the Father and His Son love you more then you can imagine! Don´t give up on them, they will never give up on you!

Promise and a Blessing
Hey everyone! Life continues to go great here in Copan! This week was a really good week, and we have got really great investigadors. We are working with 3 families in specific. Suseli, and her 2 kids, Cristel y Brittani, Rosita, y Rene y Maria, and there 4 kids, Kebin, Elmer, Maria, and Riki. They are all great families, and have great desires to learn. We were really hoping that they would go to church yesterday, and they all said they would, but they didn´t.
--
I love the mission so much! This week it has rained everyday, and I love it! I love the rain, the only bad part is my feet get wet, and my shoes, But thats part of the mission!
This week we have really been trying to help the members understand the importance of the Sacrement, and what it really means. I feel that through teaching more about the sacrement more them anything I was able to learn. I would like to share a little with you all.
"Oh God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this bread (or water) to the souls of all those who partake of it; that they may eat in remembrance of the body (or Blood) of thy Son..."
This is the part where we reflect and remember and think about the atonement of Christ. We eat the bread in remembrance of the body of Jesus Christ, how he sacrificed, suffered and died, and then arose the third day so each and every one of us can life.
"...and witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they are willing..."
Now, I would like to invite each of you to reflect this frase, and specifily what does the word "Wiling" mean? As we partake of the bread and water, we witness unto the father that we are willing! That we have the desire to follow and do, and keep these following 3 promises.
1: "...they are willing to take upon them the name of thy Son..."
2: "...they are willing to... always remember Him..."
3: "...they are willing to... keep his commandments which he hath given them..."
We are willing to act as christ acted, we are willing to represent him in all things, we are willing to remember him, love him, pray to him, read his words which are written in the holy scriptures, and we are willing to do as he has commanded, we are willing to be obedient. The next time we participate of the sacrement I would invite you to really think about these promises we make. Don´t just take the bread and water without thinking. Ask yourself, am I willing to do these 3 things. And as we are willing, as we work and do our best to keep these promises with our father in Heavan, he gives us the greatest gift of all!
"...that they may always have his Spirit to be with them. Amen."
Know, let us reflect this promise. We are promised to always have his spirit to be with us. There are many funcions, and many blessings that come form the Holy Ghsot, but in particular I would like to share 3.
1: He testifies of God the Father, and Christ his
2: Reveals the truth of all things
3: Through his power we are sanctified, purified, and cleansed.
Through this gift from our father in Heavan, we can always be clean, always be worthy. Yet it is our job to repent, and be worthy of his companionship! The sacrement ordinance is so important!
I love this Gospel! I love my Father in Heavan, and I love my Savior Jesus Christ! I know that his antoning Power is real! I know that He lives! I know that only through his sacrifice can we be forgiven, and return to live with him! I know and testify with all my heart that this is the Church of Christ! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint is the restored Church of Christ! I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God, I know that the Book of Mormon is true! I love you all!
