The Time Is Far Spent; there is little remaining

Helo everyone! I can´t believe time as gone by so fast! I can´t believe that my time has now come to an end... I have grown and learned so much. I know that God lives and now understand who I am, why I´m here, and I know who I want to become. I am and will be eternally grateful to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who gave everything for me. I know that by his grace and atoning sacrifice I might be reconciled with my Father in Heaven.

It has been such a great blessing to teach these truths and see how the Holy Spirit has tough those whom I have grown to love so much, and then see them chose to change thier lives and find such great Joy in doing so. I have seen so many great examples of faith, hope, and these examples will forever stay in my heart. I love Honduras! I love these special people, and will miss them all so very much! I will never forget the friendships I have gained and the love changing experiences I have lived. This work is so real! I testify with all my might the God lives! That Jesus Christ is his son who came to this earth and payed the price that we all might one day rise as resurrected and imortal beings and that we might repent and change. I also testify that these truths have been restored through a modern day prophet and God is preparing the word for the second coming of his only begotten son! Let us listen to this call! Let us repent and fallow the voice of his servants!

"The time is far spent; there is little remaining
To publish glad tidings by sea and by land.
Then hasten, ye heralds; go forward proclaiming:
Repent, for the kingdom of heaven's at hand," (The Time Is Far Spent, 266)

I love you all! I look forward to seeing you all soon!

Accountability before God (The Gospel of Jesus Christ)

Helo everyone! Life is flying by so fast! I love being a missionary, and I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I feel so very grateful to have a loving Heavenly Father and I am so grateful for his Son Jesus Christ who payed for my rescue that I might repent and change, and be santified and purified by my faithfulness and the grace of our savior Jesus Chrsit. I also feel so very grateful for the Holy Ghost! God truly blesses us so very much each and every day!

I am know just with Elder Mery again, on thursday Elder Martinez went to San Pedro. It´s been a crazy week once again, but we are looking forward to this coming week! Linet Mendez, an investigador will get baptized this friday, and we are so very excited for her! She has grown so very much and has change is darastic ways. I can truly testify that the Gospel changes lives for the better, and that repentence is so real and powerful.

I love his work and am grateful for his restored Gospel and the marvelous work and a wonder that being brought to pass in these latter days. I am grateful for the Holy Scripture and modern day prophets and apsotles who guide and teach the correct path to fallow.

Elder Quinten L. Cook Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles said, "As we look around, we see the devastation of wickedness and addiction at every turn. If, as individuals, we are really concerned about the Savior's ultimate judgment of us, we should seek repentance. I am afraid many people no longer feel accountable to God and do not turn to the scriptures or the prophets for guidance. If we, as a society, would contemplate the consequences of sin, there would be massive public opposition to pornography and the objectification of women. As Alma told his son Corianton in the Book of Mormon, "Wickedness never was happiness."" (Prepare to Meet God).

I testify that one day each and every one of will surely be resurected and we will be judge by God, and we will be accountable to God for who we have become. It is only through Faith in Christ and fallowing humbly the counsels of his beloved servants through repentance and strict Obedience that we might one day we made clean. It is by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ wholeheartadly making and keeping covanents with our father in heaven, like Baptism that we might truly recieve the power of God in our lives and be sanctified and purified for that great and glorious day! I wholeheartedly Testify that Jesus is the Christ and that this Gospel and plan was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith! I also testify that President Russell M. Nelson has been chosen to lead this work in these latter days. I invite all, with all my heart, my love , and humility, to come, learn of the truths that are tought. Read the Book of Mormon another testiment of Jesus Chrsit. Ask God if it be True. And make the decision to repent and follow the example of Jesus Christ. This work is true, this work is real.

I love you all!

Wheat and Tares

Helo everyone! Life continues onward! This week has been super crazy and super busy! But all is going great! My companion and I continue to work very hard! This week we had Zone conference on tuesday and we learned so very much! Then we had divisions and we had to help some missionaries. But all is well!

The work here in Cofradía is awesome! We continue to work very closely with Familia Hernandez. I love this family!!! Margarita and Antonio are the head of the family and are older, and are very nice. They both don´t listen particularly to our message, but treat us verry kindly. They have 9 kids, 25 grandkids, and like 5 great grandkids! There kids are Luiz, Claudia, Gladys, Hector, Wilmer, Karla, Ada, José, and Victor. Gladys, Karla and Ada are already members. But some of thier kids like the USA. Right now we are currently teaching the child of Karla (Christofer 10), José and Marlen (His wife), and Vicotr and carolina (His wife)! They are a super cool family and are very sincere.

We also have various families with whom we are visiting, Familia Guillen (Ada, Eduardo, Bryon, Cristel, Naomi, Jeremy, and Reine), Familia Natarén Amaya (Mario, Elizabeth, Alejandra, Ricksi, Mario, Bryon, Elizabeth, Beverli, and Alison).  These families are so great and we are so excited for each of them!

I love the work of our Lord and Savior! I know that this is his work. I know that we have been sent to teach repentance and baptize converts and by so doing we are fulfilling the parable of our Savior Jesus Chrsit when he tought,

"Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the wheat into my barn; and the tares are bound in bundles to be burned" (Matthew 13:24-30).

I now that now is the time of the harvest! I know that God has called a prohpet and has sent his servants to gather the wheat! This is the purpose of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! This is our purpose as members and missionaries, invite all to come unto Chrsit! This is the invitation of our Savior and Redeemer,

"Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me. And now for a man to take up his cross, is to deny himself all ungodliness, and every worldly lust, and keep my commandments" (JST Matthew 16:25–26).

Let us deny ourselves of all ungodliness! Let us fallow our Savior, let us keep his commandments. Let us be humble and do his will. Let us repent, change, be baptized, recieve the Gift of the Holy Ghost and endure to the end. Let us be faithful and implement the Character of our savior! I know that God plan is perfect as well as his life, and if only we will trust him and have faith in him all these miracles are possible!

I love you all!

"Come unto me... and ye shall find rest"

Helo everyone! All is going well here in Honduras. I love this place. I can´t believe how fast time is flying by. This week was a good one. Truly Elder Mery and I have seen miracles and blessings. The Gospel of Jesus Christ in incredible. We have a family that we are teaching, and this week more members of the family joined us in the lessons and have shown great interest in know more about Jesus Christ and his perfect plan for us. We were also able to find some new people to teach who show a lot of interest in learning more about our savior and his gospel.

This week I have particuluraly felt the need we all have as children of God to fallow the example of Jesus Christ and become more like him. As I was studying the new testament I came across this scripture which is found in Matthew 11:28-30,

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

I love the invitation that our savior extends, inviting us first, to come unto him, second, to take his yoke upon us (The yoke of Christ is a symbol of being a desciple of Christ), or fallow him, and third, to learn of him. By doing these three things we will find rest unto our souls.

In John 5 a similar lesson is tought, "Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?"

By our faith in Jesus Christ and our obedience unto him, or by following him and learning of him we begin to overcome the world, we begin to find rest unto our souls. The world in which we live in is full of challenges, strugles, temptations and all sort of things, yet when we put God first, when we believe in Jesus the Son of God and overcome the world we will find peace and Joy. The trials will remain, the world wont magically change, but we will change, and we will see things differently. This is our true purpose. To become pure and clean, to become saints.

It is for this very reason that the last invitation of the Book of Mormon by Moroni is as fallows, "Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God. And again, if ye by the grace of God are perfect in Christ, and deny not his power, then are ye sanctified in Christ by the grace of God, through the shedding of the blood of Christ, which is in the covenant of the Father unto the remission of your sins, that ye become holy, without spot" (Moroni 10:32-33).

I know and testify that God love us! He cares about us and is watching over us. I know that his plan is perfect and that through Jesus Christ and his gospel we can become what God wants us to become. We can be different. I know that by fallowing this plan and living his Gospel we will find Joy and happiness. "wickedness never was happiness" (Alma 41:10).

I love you all! I know these things are true!

The Gospel of Jesus Christ

Helo everyone! Everything is going absolutely fantastic here in Honduras! I love the mission. I am know with my new companion Elder Mery! He is from Viña del mar, Chile. He is super cool! He´s got a lot of enthusiasm to work and to invite others unto christ. I think I am most inspired by his patience and love for all those around us. He is 20 years old and already has taken 2 years of college to be a dentist, but now has chosen to serve the Lord.

This week has been a great one. We have been working hard and continually are tested by our Lord that we might grow and progress. Sunday we had a family who we are teaching. Victor Hernandez and Carolina Castellanos. They are both great! And we are so excited for them. They still have to get married, so we are hoping that they can get married and get baptized this next month!

All is going verry well! I love this Gospel, and I know that God is so perfect! He has created a perfect plan that allows us to make changes in our life through faith and repentance and internalize those changes and recieve the power of God through the Atonement of Christ that allows us to become saints through Covanents, the Gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end.

I love you all! It is my prayer that we all might fallow the example of Jesus Christ, that we might come to truly know him and be like him that we might optain Life Eternal!

I love you all!

The Book of Mormon (when ye shall receive this record)

Where can I even begin.... I LOVE HONDURAS! It was so great to see my family yesterday! I love them all so much. I´m looking forward to seeing everyone again. Yet the mission life continues and the blessings continue to be sent.

Today in the morning we were told that my companion will be leaving this area and will go to train and open an area. I love Elder Fragata and am thankful for all he has tought me! I will also be training my last change here in Honduras. I look forward to learning more from another child of God and am continually inspired from all I learn from each and every one of my companions and all those whom I have been blessed to know over the course of my life. Truly God is perfect. And his plan is perfect. I know that he watching out for me as well as each and every one of us. It is up to us to listen and be obedient to his spirit and counsel.

Now, I want to tell you all a great story from what happened just yesterday after talking with my family. We left to work and had a couple of appointments, but one fell through and there was an old investigador who lives by close. Her name is Daniela River. She has 17 years and we were teaching her for about a month, she was reading the book of mormon, but she wouldn´t ask God if it was true. We invited her over and over again to ask God if it was true, to ask God if Joseph Smith was a true prophet. Yet she didn´t seem to be progresssing so we told her there was nothing else we could do to help her until she was ready to excersice faith in Jesus Christ and ask the Father if this was the correct path for her to fallow. And all this last week I couldn´t stop thinking that we needed to go back and visit her. We passed by 2 or 3 times this last week, but was never there. Finally when we passed by and sunday she was there. We said hi and talked a little, and then we asked her how her reading of the Book of Mormon was going. She rospended, "Great!" She then continued, "I started from the beginning and am now in Alma..." We couldn´t believe it! We then asked if she had asked God if it was true, and she told us, "Yes... I didn´t believe before, but now I do!"

I know this work is true! I know that the Book of Mormon is true!

"Therefore, when ye shall receive this record ye may know that the work of the Father has commenced upon all the face of the land. Therefore, repent all ye ends of the earth, and come unto me, and believe in my gospel, and be baptized in my name; for he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned; and signs shall follow them that believe in my name. And blessed is he that is found faithful unto my name at the last day, for he shall be lifted up to dwell in the kingdom prepared for him from the foundation of the world. And behold it is I that hath spoken it. Amen" (Ether 4:17-19).

This is the work of God! I so testify! I love you all!

Rise up, O men (and Women) of God!

Hey everyone! Life is going great! My companion and I are working really hard! I love the mission and I love the work of the Lord. This sunday we had 3 families in church and they loved it! I know that there are people prepared to recieve the restored gospel and God is leading us towards them.

This week was pretty awesome. I feel so motivated to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know the Book of Mormon is true! I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored through the Prohpet Jospeph Smith and that the Kingdom of God has been established in preparation for the Second Coming of Christ. I love the invitation our Prophet gave to us as men, but it also applies to women,

"Rise up, O men of God! Have done with lesser things. Give heart and soul and mind and strength to serve the King of Kings.

Rise up, O men of God, In one united throng. Bring in the day of brotherhood and end the night of wrong.

Rise up, O men of God! Tread where his feet have trod. As brothers of the Son of Man, Rise up, O men of God!" (Rise up, O men of God Hymn pg. 324

This is the invitation of our Lord and savior through his prohpet here on earth! We must rise up and have done with lesser things. We must serve the King of Kings. We rise up as brothers of our Savior and redeemer!

I love you all! I know this is the work of the Lord!

"Pure Religion" - Ministering

Where can I even begin... Our God is so merciful and loving to us all! I feel so blessed and grateful! This week has been a great one! Elder Fragata and I have seen so many miracles and we are finding so many great people who are prepared to recieve the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The members are great here and support us so much and I can´t even begin to express the many blessings we have recieved! Truly the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the greatest blessing anyone can recieve. It changes lives and brings such great happiness and peace! If you don´t feel satisfied, live the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Live what James tought as "Pure Religion" - "visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world" (James 1:27).

Elder W. Christopher Waddell tought, "Selfless service—forgetting ourselves, responding to the needs of others, and laying down our lives in their service—has always been a characteristic of disciples of Jesus Christ" (Pure Religion). This is exactly what God and Jesus Christ hope of us as we are instrements in thier hands and seek to "minister" as they have asked us to do. Jesus Christ gave us the perfect example of what it looks like to live "Pure Religion" and to minister.

"The Savior showed by example what it means to minister as He served out of love for His Father and for each person (see John 15:9–10). He loved, taught, prayed for, comforted, and blessed those around Him, inviting all to follow Him (see Mark 8:34). As Church members minister, they prayerfully seek to serve as He would—to "comfort those that stand in need of comfort," "watch over the church always, and be with and strengthen them," "visit the house of each member," and help each become a true disciple of Jesus Christ (Mosiah 18:9; D&C 20:53, 51; see also John 13:35)" (What is "ministering").

I know that as we make a greater effort to minister and fallow the example of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and live the Gospel of Jesus Christ our lifes will be filled with Joy and Peace! It is my hope and prayer that we can all become true desciples of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and that one day we might return to his precense perfected and sanctified through his great sacrifice and saving grace!

I love you all! I know God lives and loves us! I know Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. I know that Christ leads and guides his kingdom that we might all prepare for his second coming! I love you all!

Minister: See the potential

This week has been a great one! It turns out I had changes again. I am know in Cofradía which is like a pueblito. My companion is Elder Fragata from Xanxere Brazil. He is from southern Brazil, and has 3 months in the mission. Ajora eu esto aprendedo portugués! My companion is super cool, and has a lot of desire to work. I am excited to work with him, and the ward here is really great as well! There is a lot of work to do! The week has been good, mostly just getting to know my new area, my new companions, the members and investigadors and doing a lot of contacting. But, I am super excited!

This week I have really been pondering on the words of the servants of the Lord, and have been thinking about how I can apply it into my missionary life. I was especially thinking of the talks and invitations we recieved to fulfill the two great commandments of our Lord "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart might mind and strength and thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." I was thinking about how we can more fully "minister" to our brothers and sisters and show them the christ like love we all need. I was amazed as I studied more about what the word "Minister actually means. I found out that the word Minister is  "to fulfill the work of the Lord. Or to literally represent the Lord." I began to reflect on how well I represent the Lord. I wonder what Christ would really do if he were where we are?

I loved a comment I heard in the Priesthood Meating yesterday as we discussed repentance. One of the brothers here said that Repentance is like a little kid who is learning to walk, it takes time and practice. We won´t be perfect the first try. But he said that the parents are always there lifting the kid up and incouraging him to keep trying.

I know that we are all from from perfect, and I also know that it is only through the grace and atonement of Christ that we can be perfected and this requires Repentance. When a child falls on his face its pretty hard to get back up and try again if the parents weren´t there to support him and give him hope. As representatives of Jesus Christ we must be those who lift our fallen brothers and give them hope. There are so many great people who are ashamed, embaraced and afraid, but that is why we must minister. Repentance is a blessing! And we must help our brothers and sisters recongnize that too! We must give them a reason to hope and try again! This is the Doctrine of Christ! This is the purpose he came to this world!

I know that Jesus Christ lives! I know that he is our light, our life, and our hope for a brighter future! I know that repentance is positive, and we must love our borthers and sisters, we must minister to them and give them a reason to hope. We must see them with thier devine potential which we all have as children of God!

I love you all!

A Prophet´s voice!

This week has been great! I was inspired by the words of our dear Prophets and Apostles. I know and solemnly testify that President Russell M. Nelson is a prophet of God. I felt the spirit so strongly this weekend, and know that he was called from the foundation of this world to hasten the work of the Lord and prepare the world for the Second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Chrsit! I also felt so grateful to pass easter weekend listening to the words of the Lord through his authorized servants. What a great blessing!

Yesterday as I was laying on my bend trying to sleep I couldn´t help but think of Jesus Christ and all he has offered us and given us. I felt such great gratitud and Joy. I though of the words of Dieter F. Uchtorf who said that thanks to the resurrection of Jesus Christ their is LIFE. I feel such Joy and Peace to know that death is not the end. That all of us who die will rise again. I also feel such Joy to know that through Christ we can Repent. That we can start a developmental process of perfection throught the Atonement and Grace of the great sacrifice of our Lord and Savior.

I testify with all my heart the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is ture. It is the Kingdom of the Lord here on Earth and it is directed directly by him, the corner stone, through his Prophets and Apostles the foundation. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and that Joseph Smith was called of God to restore the truth of the Gospel to the earth. I also know that we must more fully seek our personal witness through the Holy Ghost as President Russell M. Nelson, and his counselors so prophetically invited, and we must Minister with Love as God commands to all our dear brothers and Sisters!

I love you all!

AN ANCHOR IN CHRIST

Hey everyone! Everything is going great! This week was a good week, and I continue to learn and grow. This change God has tought me so much about Humility, and  Patience, and I feel I need to develop more love and charity. God is always teaching me and shaping me and challenging me that I might grow. At times I ask why it´s so hard, but at the end I am so grateful that it is not easy.

I love the mission and love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It´s so interesting to see how peoples lives could change, or change if they would only have faith, believe, and follow our savior Jesus Christ. Truly Faith is the first principle of the Gospel, and as we believe and trust in our Savior and redeemer everything else falls into place. The area I am in here in San Pedro Sula has been a little challenging, but I have learned a lot and have so much that I must improve. I must believe and trust and must do all that I can so God can make the miracles happen. As we center our faith in Jesus Christ and develop a sure Hope in his Atonement and resurrection we will then need to develop Charity. Becuase "he must needs have charity; for if he have not charity he is nothing; wherefore he must needs have charity" (Moroni 7:44).

And what is Charity?

"Charity Suffereth long" (Charity is patience and long suffering)
Charity "is kind" (Compassionate, Gentle, loving, friendly)
Charity "envieth not" (Is not Jelous)
Charity "is not puffed up" (Not prideful, is humble)
Charity "seeketh not her own" (Is not selfish, serving)
Charity "is not easily provoked" (stirred to anger)
Charity "thinketh no evil"  (Virtue)
Charity "rejoiceth not in iniquity"  (Virtue)
Charity "rejoiceth in truth" (Virtue)
Charity "beareth all things" (Diligence)
Charity "believeth all things" (Faith)
Charity "hopeth all things" (Hope)
Charity "endureth all things"
"CHARITY IS THE PURE LOVE OF CHRIST"

"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure. Amen" (Moroni 7:48)

I am looking forward to this weekend! We will have the time to celebrate Easter Weekend, the Resurection of Jesus Christ by listening to his words through his authorized servants here in the world. I am grateful for the teaching and guidance of Prophets, seer, and revelators! They are the ones whom Christ has called that we may gain this faith, and hope that we may, through the gospel of Jesus Christ become even as Christ is. That we may one day have Charity. That we may become sons of God. I invite each of you to join us this General Conference April 2018! This link contains all the informaltion of the Conference!

I love you all!

Faith in Christ

Back at it! I love missionary work! This week has been a good one. I feel great and happy. I am so grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love Jesus Christ and know that he lives. I can´t believe how fast time is going, and feel like I have changed so much.

Right now we are working a lot with a the Mercado Family, and this week we were able to find a lot of young adults who desired to learn more of the restored gospel. My companion and I get along well, and I am inspired by his coarage and testimony. He was a convert when he was 13, and baptized his mom just before coming to the mission. He has such a strong desire to help others and serve them. He is a great example to me.

Through this week my testimony has been strengethen, and I have such a strong desire to strengthen my faith in Christ. God truly is so merciful. Despite my many weaknesses and my many sins through Christ and his Gospel I know I can be perfected! I am excited for General Conference! I can´t wait to recieve guidance and dirrection through the servant of the Lord here on earth.

I love you all! I am happy and miss you all! My prayers are with you, and I pray that we may all be faithful to our savior and redeemer Jesus Christ!

Good and Truth

This has been a great week! It has been good to work again! I love teaching the Gospel and inviting people to come unto Christ. The area is great. The members are good, and our Mission Leader is awesome! Although it is a trickey area compared to all the others I have had. It is a very large area. There is one part in the mountain where the poorer or more humble people live. Then right next to them is a part where rich people live. The houses are very large, and it is almost impossible to contact the houses. Then in the city it is tricky to find houses because there are lot´s of buisnesses. Yet we are working hard and seeking the Lord´s will through prayer. But none the less, this is God´s work and he is preparing great thing!

This week we had a baptism! Gladys Tablada was baptized! She is such a great lady, and she was so prepared! It was a great expreience because a member named Otoniel Manley had invited her to the church a long time ago, and he was able to baptize her! We are working with her so she can go to the temple at the end of this month!

Other then that the work is continuing! This week as I have been studying my mind has contempated upon many things, and I beleive the greatest lessons I have learned is the great need to have faith, and what faith truly is. I find it interesting to see that so often in our world so many people think truth is relative. Good and bad  is a matter of opinion. And that we should just do "What feels right" and "what makes us happy." But isn´t this completely contrary to the plan of God? The plan of happiness is about humility, trust, love, and obedience. It is about recongnizing that I don´t know all things but my Father in Heaven does. It is about humbling myself before  him, trusting in him, loving him, and fully, faithfully and completely obeying and following him.

There is good and bad, truth and lies, only as we put our full trust in God will we be able to recongnize all good and all truth. And by heading his counsel and harkening unto his voice may we be filled with light and truth and become trully happy prefect holy saints. Only in this may we become like the Father and return to his presence in a state of never ending happiness. I leave my testimony that God loves us! That he sent his only beggotten son to offer us this happiness. It is up to us if we will come unto him harken unto his voice, by faith, repent of our sins and keep his commandments.

I bear my testimony that The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ which has been given to the world so that all may repent and know that Jesus Christ is the messiah! I love you all! I love this Gospel! We all have great need to repent of our sins and follow our savior in obedience and humility!

Learning

Helo everyone! Life continues here in Honduras. This week I was once again stuck indoors. I spent a lot of time in the Family Histsory Library here in the church. It was an interesting week with lots of ups and downs, but the good news is that Tomorrow I can get back to work! I am so excited to get back to work. I love teaching and I love talking with people about the Gospel. I find such peace and joy in doing so.

Although yesterday I was thinking about what God wanted me to learn from this expierence that I have had and I beleive he wanted me to learn to be selfless. This has been hard because I have thought a lot in myself. I beleive God wants us to turn outwards and serve and love others. I was inspired by Alma and the Sons of Mosiah in the Book of Mormon because once they are converted to Christ and repent of their sins all of their efforts were to help others and teach the Gospel, they no longer were worried about their own prideful desires.

Yet during these 2 weeks I have thought a lot about "me." Why this was happening to me? What could I do to not be boared? What could I do to have fun? What could I do to be happy? When I beleive God wanted me to turn outward and help someone else.

I am glad that tomorrow I can get back to work. I am glad that God is so merciful. I love this Gospel and love being a missionary!

Miracles - "Let us lay hold on every good thing"

Hola Everyone! This week has been verry interesting... I don´t know where to start...

So on Tuesday I had a Doctors appointment this time with a foot and wound specialist to see what to do about my foot (The same thing as before, it had´t gotten any better). And let it be said I was not ready to recieve what I was told. After looking at it the Doctor explained that it was slightly infected and swollen and for this reason it wasn´t healling. He explained that by walking on it it wasn´t allowed to heal. He told me that this type of thing would just take time and told me I would have to rest from 4-6 weeks! ... This was quite the shock for me... And plans changed quickly... President Bush told me to go home, back up my stuff and come back on the change bus (Wednessday was changes). So I did so...

I don´t think it really suck in until I was no longer in Santa Cruz. On wednessday I got back to San Pedro and I went to an area called San Pedro 2 with my new Companion Elder Silva (He is from Baja California Mexico and just finished his training, he has 3 months in the mission). After arriving to the appartment I could sense the excitment of Elder Silva to go and work, as well as to speak in English (He really wants to learn English!). Yet I must admit I didn´t feel the enthusiams I regularly would feel at changes. I asked him if he knew anything about me, or my situation, and he he said he did not, so I proceeded to explain it. This day was verry difficult for me. It started to really sink in to me that 1. I was in an area where I knew nobody, 2. I had a companion that I didn´t know, and 3. I wasn´t going to be able to work for possibly up to 6 weeks... I must admit I started to fear... I had many thoughts racing through my head. I wondered what God´s plan was? I knew that everything happens for a reason, and I knew that God had a hand in all things, I just wasn´t sure what.

On monday interestingly I had studied the stories of both the people of Limhi (Mosiah 7), as well as the people of Alma (Mosiah 24). Both whom had been put into bondage, yet one people for their wickedness, and the other for their rightousness. What called my atention from this study was that the people of Alma were supported in their afflicions (Mosiah 24:13-15), yet the people of Limhi were not (Mosiah 7:23,29).

With this study fresh in my mind, I tried to trust, and I must say I felt the support of the Lord and continue to do so. Although I still asked what? Pesonally, I have a verry hard time not doing anything, I like to be active and be busy, so even the thought of being stuck in a house for 6 weeks made me want to go crazy... I began to wonder if maybe I was just suppose to go home... Maybe I had finished my mission... But then I thought maybe I just needed to have more faith... On thursday night after recieving the wise counsel of Elder Reeve (the Asistant to the President), I asked for a blessing from my Companion. Happily he gave me a verry special blessing, mencioning that I would recieve good notices from the doctor, as well as I would heal quickly.

On friday, the Doctor said it looked a lot better, and that I would probably be able to return to normal activity the following week. So I will see him again Thursday of this week and then recieve the following counsel!

I am so grateful for the love of my Father in Heaven and am so grateful for the Priesthood power. I feel as though God is so wise, and there are so many things I don´t understand, but I believe I am suppose to be here. I feel so verry blessed, and know that God is watching over me. I have so much to improve, yet I am trying to do my best. I know God wants to teach me more. I wish that I could share with power the great love and feeling of grattitude I have felt, and I wish I could help each and every one of you who read my letters understand the great love of our father in heaven and great desire he has to bless us. I know that God desires that we just put our trust in him! That we listen to his wise counsels and that we "lay hold upon every good thing" (Moroni 7:20). To do so, we must have faith, we must trust, and we must listen to the counsel of all those servants whom God has authorized to teach the truths of his Gospel (Moroni 7:21-33). I solemnly testify that God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith in 1820 and they authorized him to restore the truths of thier Gospel and teach us how to "lay hold upon every good thing." I testify that Jesus Christ desires that all men Repent, come unto him, be baptized in his name, and if they do say, having faith in him, they will be saved! (Moroni 7:34).

I testify that President Russel M. Nelson is the only person on the whole earth is authorized to use all the keys of God, and him along with the first presidency and the Quorum of the twelve Apsotols are truly Prophets, Seers, and Revelators, and as such "can know of things which are past, and also of things which are to come, and by them shall all things be revealed, or, rather, shall secret things be made manifest, and hidden things shall come to light, and things which are not known shall be made known by them, and also things shall be made known by them which otherwise could not be known. Thus God has provided a means that man, through faith, might work mighty miracles; therefore he becometh a great benefit to his fellow beings" (Mosiah 8:17-18).

Isn´t this a demenstration of the love of God? Jesus Christ lives! He came and fulfilled the will of the Father. He took upon him the sins of the world, that we may repent and overcome our fallens state. But if we choose to not harken to the words of Chrsit through his servants we choose to sin and rebell against God and therefore remain in our fallen state and the devil has all power over us (Mosiah 16:5). Do you think God or Christ desire that? No! So let us repent! Let us believe in Christ, lest us lay hold upon every good thing through Faith in "ALL the words which proceedeth forth out of the mouth of God" (Moroni 7: 25).

I love you all! I desire to return to the presence of my Father in Heaven with all those I love! It is my hope and prayer that we all decide to do these things.
